I glad to hear that I am not the only one who is sad by the change in the conversation hearts. I have been to so many stores and no one has the traditional hearts. What is up with that? Yellow is my favorite! Not the lemon flavor! Why change something that was so good...Valentines Day is just not the same without the old style conversation hearts! Bring'em back!!!!!!!
I want the old conversation hearts back! I look forward to those every Valentine's day. My mom and I just love them! (the old ones that is!)
I am so mad at Necco too! The new ones are so gross! I couldn't believe when my husband brought them home, how gross they really were. I took a few a put them in my mouth and almost puked! These are so nasty. I'll have to try the dollar store today. Here's hoping they have the old ones! Bring them back!!

I found the old Neccos flavors in small individual boxes at Dollar General. I went store to store looking for large bags of the old Neccos - could not find. Bought a bag of Brachs which I threw away - awful, soft and terrible flavors.
The new Sweethearts flavors taste terrible--too strong with an awful aftertaste. They smell terrible, too. Yuck! Bring back the original flavors.I agree and I was glad to see that I am not alone in thinking they need to bring back the old formula for Sweethearts...I was so disappointed this year!
NECCOs are my favorite candy. It's sad to get excited about your favorite candy only to be disappointed:o( They should put a warning on the box!!! *hey these are not the awesome candies you learned to love as a child*I am so glad I'm not the only one not liking the new change! I purchased 2 packs and only half of one has been touched(more like tested and thrown away). I'm so glad I didn't buy more! Why didn't they just put the new flavors in there own box and leave the orginials alone?! Bummer! Not a cool business move at all:o(Did they do this to the rolls, too??? I'm now depressed!
IAM SO HAPPY ALL U FEEL THAT WAY!!!! OMG I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE! The new necco valentines days hearts are disgusting. I also thought i had bought a bag of different flavored ones untill i looked into it a little more and realized that they changed them. What a terrible move for the company. I will not buy a bag again untill they change them back to NORMAL again. I looked forward to these candies every year and now valentines day somehow seems different without them. My favs were the wintergreen and bannana.
I agree.... I thought they just had a shortage of the original kind of conversation hearts in my area. I had bought two bags of Necco hearts when I saw them on the shelves in Feb... but threw them away after I got home and poured some in a candy dish. They are not what I expected and not to my liking.The reason that I'm writing this so many weeks after Valentines day is because I just bought a roll of Necco wafers and they changed them too. So I had to go out to the Internet and see what was going on.NECCO needs to take a chapter out of the Coca Cola lesson book and not screw with the original formula. Otherwise... I'll stop buying.
Yes this article was very helpful. I went shopping for the usual Necco conversation hearts, just waiting for Christmas to be over with I knew these would be in the store. I could not find any that had the Necco on the label. I saw the Sweetheart on the packaging but did not think that was the same brand. I bought one of the small individual boxes to check it out. I could not believe it. The change with the flavors is disgusting. I loved the old orange ones and would pick them out of the package. I don't like any of the new flavors and have since bought Brach's conversation hearts, I don't like there texture as much, its kind of soft, but the flavors are much better. What a loss for Necco!
