Levi Johnston: Should A Bitter 19-year-old Be Allowed Publicity

By now Levi Johnston is a household name and not because he is named after the jeans we wear. Johnston has enjoyed the limelight from getting Sarah Palin's daughter pregnant before being named as the vice-presidential nominee.
I am not sure it took to much political expertise to get Bristol Palin pregnant. I also am not to keen on what a bitter high school drop out has to say about the former governor.
I am not some Palin proponent. I actually am not sure how I feel about her. I do have a problem with the media's intent on making this kid a star for the sole purpose because he got her daughter pregnant.
Today his mugshot is plastered across the internet because he held a press conference saying he knows why Palin resigned as Governor.
The bitter 19 year old contends that Palin resigned to cash in on her fame. Hmm-what is he doing again?
"It is interesting to learn Levi is working on a piece of fiction while honing his acting skills," Palin family spokeswoman Meghan Stapleton said in an e-mail to The Associated Press.
That makes me laugh!
Johnston's press conference elaborated on how Palin wants to agree to a book deal "that was millions of dollars."
I guess I am confused as to how Johnston knows so much about this family and their decisions. He has been out of their house since January. His wedding to Bristol was called off. I am confused how he has any expertise in this matter.
Shame on the press for even showing up at that press conference that he called. If this story was submitted back in the days of real journalism, the reporter would have lost their job or been put on the Obit desk.
The reality is that we will never know the true reasons Palin resigned, I think she gave her explanation, but I think all this excess media coverage just gives her the extra publicity she needs to make Americans really get to know her.
Good job Johnston! How much are you getting paid for this?
