Spider-Man To Take Over Disney World

Not yet, but could be soon. No, this is not a publicity stunt in which Marvel characters attack Disney characters.
News online is that Disney is set to buy Marvel Entertainment in a $4 billion deal.
"We believe that adding Marvel to Disney's unique portfolio of brands provides significant opportunities for long-term growth and value creation," Disney president and chief executive Robert Iger said in a BBC report. "We are pleased to bring this talent and these great assets to Disney."
As someone who is married to an over-grown comic book collector, I am curious of the ramifications of this transaction. Does it mean that we finally will be able to attend super hero movies with our kids? Or will Disney not water down the story lines and action that surround these characters much like their Pirates of the Caribbean movies?
I will admit Disney World is already one of the hottest vacation spots with kid character favorites. I can't imagine how exciting the park will be when Spider-Man is added. I can hear those four year old boys screaming now!
While Disney posted a fall in profits last quarter in the middle of a recession, analysts think this is exactly what will set them back on top.
I can not wait to see what their next move is after buying Marvel. Will they remodel the park? When will new movies be releases? Will we start to see Spider-Man cartoons on the Disney channel. Time will tell, but it seems like the excitement is already in the air for this buyout deal!
