Hasbro Launches The Ultimate Game of Monopoly

Hi, my name is Abigail and I am a Monopoly junkie! I love the game. In college, we would play entire nights trying to take the crown as the ultimate capitalist. We really did have a crown!
These days, we play the fast version with our kids. We love hearing them crack up or scream in anguish when they land on Boardwalk and we have hotels. Yes, we are competitive parents.
Hasbro is launching Monopoly City Streets online. It goes live Set. 9 and will stay live for four months. The best part is that it is all online and free. The playing board uses Google Maps or an open source street map. How cool is that?
The BBC is reporting that Hasbro claims that is will be "the biggest game of Monopoly of all time" and will allow players to purchase almost "any street in the world".
I think I might buy the street I grew up on! OOOh, or how about buying the street with Google or Apple on it? I am so looking forward to getting on this game.
Of course, I start drooling to think that new players get three million dollars to build their virtual properties. Three million dollars would only happen in a game, so I might as well enjoy it while I can.
Once a player buys a street they are able to charge rent, build properties and trade with other players.
The game ends in January. The biggest drawback so far is that the website just can't handle the traffic, but I am sure once it gets going, things will look up for the game. At least I hope so.

Realize that you will be going against the master and if i happen to put up a dump right next door to your property to make your value go down, well all is fair in the game of Monopoly!
