Quarterbacks Tim Tebow and Drew Brees Taking A Stand For Christianity In Super Bowl

It is all over the news. Doctors tried to abort Florida star quarterback Tim Tebow. At least that is what a commercial scheduled to air during the Super Bowl will support.
The 30-second commercial is expected to recount the story of Pam Tebow's pregnancy in 1987. After getting sick during a mission trip to the Philippines, she ignored a recommendation by doctors to abort her fifth child.
Let's be honest. There is not a doubt in any person's mind that Tebow is a Christian. From his eye black scriptures to the stand he has taken on abstinence. I once witnessed a reporter ask him during an after game press conference if he was still a virgin.
This is not some new platform that Tebow is jumping on. He has faced four years of being prodded, made fun of and even embarrassed because of his stand on voicing his Christianity. A commercial is not going to share anything new except more of his family's testimony,
Over the last four years, we have seen every story and video of Tebow around. We have seen him working in the Philipines on Missions. We have seen him working with area youth. We have seen him on the field, in church, speaking in front of crowds. Why were there not groups protesting then?
I don't see this as an issue because CBS has even announced they will sell air time to pro-choice groups as well. Yet any attempt to make Christians look judgmental and persecuting will be jumped on by anti-Christian groups. That is all this controversy is right now. A ploy to get attention.
That being said, I am impressed that as young as Tebow is, he never backs down in his beliefs. CBS should be commended for that as well.
AS for Christian quarterbacks, Tebow will not be the only quarterback standing on his faith at the Super Bowl. New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees is a well-known Christian and isn't afraid to take that stand. Here is his testimony. All and all, it should be an exciting Super Bowl for Christians and non-Christians.
